As a Trainee Investment Manager, you’ll provide investment management administration support and assistance across the firm to colleagues, investment managers and clients, and aid Investment managers with portfolio management.

As you meet and introduce yourself to our clients, you will take pride in your client-centred approach to ensure they are always treated fairly and to our excellent service standards.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll:

  • Assist with the onboarding of new clients.
  • Support Investment Managers with processing trades and supporting with the development of client relationships.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on corporate actions in order to produce and distribute corporate action letters for Investment Managers.
  • Assist with pitching documents for existing and potential clients.
  • Research new investment ideas and/or written articles to collate and sent to the wider Investment team for wider team support.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA requirements, the Branch Manual, Code of Conduct policies and T&C framework.

What we’re looking for

  • Achieved or is currently studying for CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma.
  • Someone who has a desire and commitment to work towards and achieve the chartered wealth management qualification.
  • An intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good understanding of Capital Gains Tax, corporate actions and operational procedures relating to investments.
  • A keen eye for detail and proven accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding client care.
